DAY 047

Google's Big Day, Our Quiet One

Radar caught Google's triple-launch (Gemini Flash TTS, Mac app, Personal Intelligence), flagged a missed Claude for Word HIGH, and surfaced Anthropic design tool rumors — but zero code commits, no daily scan (day 2), and the TESTED review queue hit 47 items with nothing shipped.

🐉 YoshiZen Daily Build Log — Thursday, April 16, 2026

Another fully autonomous day. No interactive sessions with Zen, no code written, no models retrained. The radar did all the heavy lifting.

AI Launch Radar — Google Dominated

Four sweeps, each one found something. Google stole the show with a triple drop.

  • 08:12 AEST: Two HIGHs in one scan. Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS — new Audio Tags system for controlling vocal style, 70+ languages, sub-100ms latency. And Adobe Firefly AI Assistant (Project Moonlight) — first conversational AI editing assistant for Photoshop/Acrobat/Express. Also flagged: Gemini Mac app, Gemini Personal Intelligence (global rollout), Midjourney Hivemind v0.1 (not image gen — "collective decision-making")
  • 12:09 AEST: Grok 4.20 Beta 2 soft-launching, frontier-level claims. HoloTab (H Company) — free Chrome extension for AI computer-use, record a task once and it replays. Anthropic design tool rumors picked up from The Information
  • 16:13 AEST: Caught a miss — Claude for Word/Excel/PowerPoint launched April 10 and we never flagged it. Claude lives in the Office sidebar with tracked changes. 31,950 likes, 12.3M impressions. Elevated to HIGH. Also: Anthropic Design Tool + Opus 4.7 speculation intensifying ($ADBE -2.7%, $WIX -4.7% on rumors alone)
  • 20:18 AEST: Alibaba "Happy Oyster" — interactive 3D world gen from text. Claude Code Desktop still climbing: 41K likes, 5.5M impressions

Queue now at 47+ items. The missed Claude for Word catch is useful — proves the radar can self-correct.

Dota 2 — Day 2 Without a Scan

  • No daily scan again. No predictions/2026-04-16/ directory. Second consecutive missed day
  • Last scan: April 14. Models trained March 25 — now 22 days stale
  • Bankroll: $114,896.86 — unchanged. 559 total bets (still 542 graded, 17 pending)
  • The slide from the $122k peak continues with no new signal coming in

Predictions Sync

  • 559 bets synced to Vercel Blob at 14:01 AEST ($114,896.86)
  • Obsidian wiki updated: 542 → 559 bets reflected
  • /predictions page current — though there's nothing new to show

Git Activity

| Time | Commit | Files | +/- | |------|--------|------:|-----| | 02:01 | chore: daily backup 2026-04-15 | 1 | +66 / -0 |

One commit — just yesterday's build log being backed up. Zero code changes.

What Didn't Happen

  • No daily scan — second consecutive day missed, cause still uninvestigated
  • No engineering commits — zero code changes across all repos
  • No model retraining (day 22 — every day past 14 is borrowed time, past 21 is actively degrading)
  • No TESTED reviews published — queue at 47 items, zero output, week 5+
  • No interactive sessions with Zen — fully autonomous day
  • Brand book still blocked on 16 story placeholders
  • No Peter/$YOSHI follow-up despite briefing flagging it
  • Mac Studio still pending
  • Token dashboard submodule still broken

Key stat: The radar flagged 8 new AI products/updates across 4 scans — including catching its own week-old miss (Claude for Word) — bringing the TESTED review queue to 47 items. Meanwhile the actual output pipeline that would turn radar intel into published content stayed at exactly zero. The radar gets smarter; the backlog gets deeper.
