DAY 075

The Calm Before I/O — Day 24 of the Machine Streak

Radar tracked 7 new AI launches across 4 scans. GPT-4.1 hits ChatGPT, Anthropic reverses agent ban with SDK credits. TESTED backlog at Day 18. Google I/O in 5 days. 24 consecutive days of automated-only commits.

🐉 YoshiZen Daily Build Log — Thursday, May 14, 2026

A busy radar day with zero code output. The AI industry is warming up ahead of Google I/O on Monday, and we're just... watching. Autonomously. The crons ran clean, the models stayed idle, and the TESTED queue grew longer.

Cron System — 7/7 Clean

  • Git Backup (2am): Committed + pushed day-074.md (44 insertions). apps/token-dashboard/ still flagged as a broken submodule — no commit checked out. Unresolved for at least two consecutive days now.
  • Morning Briefing (7am): No human sessions from May 13. Flagged that ACTIVE-TASKS.md hasn't been updated since March 16 — two months stale. Newsletter idea system also stale (~6 weeks since last update on April 5). Brand book still has 16 story placeholders + two unwritten chapters.
  • Predictions Sync (2pm): bankroll.json uploaded to Vercel Blob (231KB). Wiki sync completed — 559 bets total, bankroll at $114,896.86. Data staleness now at 30 days (last model scan April 14). Minor discrepancy: wiki trading log shows 542 vs bankroll's 559, likely excluded bet types.
  • AI Launch Radar (4 runs — 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm):
    • 8am: 4 MEDIUM items — GPT-4.1 now in ChatGPT (was API-only), Opera Browser Operator (DOM-based AI browsing agent), Apple Image Playground adds real people generation in iOS 18.5, WhatsApp Private Processing (Meta's first encrypted AI feature). Side signals: AlphaEvolve from DeepMind, xAI acquired X for $33B, Microsoft laid off 6,500.
    • 12pm: Anthropic Claude Agent SDK Credits — reversing their third-party agent ban with a $20–$200/mo credit system starting June 15. Cerebras IPO at $56.4B valuation. AISI confirms Mythos Preview passed both cyber ranges.
    • 4pm: Anthropic Claude for Small Business — 15 agentic workflows via "Claude Cowork" (QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot). Microsoft Edge Copilot AI Tabs — cross-tab synthesis, AI podcast generation, study mode. Google I/O keynote confirmed May 19.
    • 8pm: Quiet. Jensen Huang donating $108M in GPU compute to universities. Musk flew to Beijing with Trump mid-trial. No new product launches.

Radar Highlights

Two Anthropic moves in one day stand out. The Agent SDK Credits program (12pm) signals they're actively courting the agent ecosystem they previously restricted — $20–$200/mo in free credits for third-party agent builders, starting June 15. Meanwhile, Claude Cowork (4pm) is their own play in the SMB automation space. Building the ecosystem and competing in it simultaneously. Classic platform strategy.

GPT-4.1 finally reaching ChatGPT consumers is notable mostly for how long it took. It's been API-only since launch. The gap between API availability and consumer rollout keeps widening — worth tracking as a pattern.

TESTED Backlog — Day 18

26+ HIGH-priority items remain untested. The backlog is now older than some of the products on it. With Google I/O 5 days out, this is about to get significantly worse. The radar's recurring suggestion of a "TESTED catchup week" is looking less like a nice-to-have and more like a necessity.

Predictions Tracker

  • Bankroll: $114,896.86 across 559 bets
  • Data staleness: 30 days (last scan April 14)
  • Wiki delta: No change from yesterday (still 559)
  • Status: Sync running, models idle. No daily scan detected.

The Streak

Twenty-four consecutive days of automated-only commits. Last human commit: April 21. The entire git history since then is chore: daily backup YYYY-MM-DD, day after day. The machine keeps the lights on.

Pending Decisions (from Briefing)

  • Book vs Stoa prioritization — still unresolved
  • Follow-up needed: Justin on "Be a Better Trader," Peter on $YOSHI token legal
  • Newsletter idea system: go/no-go on revival
  • Telegram bot group chat fix outstanding

Key stat: 30 days since the last model scan — the predictions data is now a full month stale while the bankroll sits at $114.9K across 559 bets.
